Our Story
Ecomama Farms is more than just a farm; it’s a living testament to the power of sustainability, community, and the beauty of nature. Our journey began with a dream to create a sanctuary where people and the environment thrive together. Founded in 2019 by Tamie Posnick, Ecomama has grown from a raw piece of land into a flourishing oasis of roses, biodiversity, and community spirit.
The Beginning
When we first found the property, it was far from the picturesque landscape it is today. The land was untamed and wild, an open invitation for the symbiotic relationship between farmer and soil. The beauty hidden within coupled with the room for growth felt perfect for our dream of creating a sustainable, biodynamic farm. So, like every project at Ecomama, we simply put our hands in the dirt and began.
Looking Ahead
Ecomama Farms is ever-evolving. Each season brings new growth and opportunities to expand our impact. Our goals for the future include:
Increasing biodynamic visibility
Expanding our floral offerings
Continuing to educate and engage our community on the importance of sustainability
Partnering with other organic, regenerative, and biodynamic farmers
Transformation and Growth
Over the next six years, Ecomama Farms underwent a remarkable transformation. With dedication and hard work, we expanded our rose garden to over 1500 plants, each chosen for their unique beauty and fragrance. We focused on sustainable practices, such as:
Building green structures that blend seamlessly with the natural landscape
Implementing systems to manage and conserve water effectively
Growing fruit, vegetables, flowers, and olives without the use of harmful chemicals
Creating intentional landscapes that support wildlife habitats and promote ecological balance.
Building an entire closed-system compost area to recycle and replenish the land.
